Miko goes vegan 🙈🍃
We are Miko & Rosie, 2 wobbly cats with a milder form of Cerebellar Hypoplasia also known as ataxia kitten.
Brother & Sister adopted with the same disability from the local shelter in Belgium.
Miko also has problems with eating.
The nerves of the esophagus are not working well. The cause of this we do not know. It could be by medication when he was little, by a fall when he was little (because a mild form of CH), or it could just be innate. He can't eat dryfood, each time he get problems and we do not want a life for him in the vetclinic. We made him an adapted foodhouse to his needs to eat and he can only eat veterinairy diet prescription
Most of us get euthanised by birth. But this is the beginning of OUR story!
We got lucky. The shelter and their vet gave us a chance
DISABILITY DOES NOT MEAN INABILITY
Our real mom was dumped pregnant by bad humans. She was also sick when she gave birth to us. We were born on a filthy and cold, wet floor.
Our catmom says that's why a law for sterilisation here in Belgium is so important!
We were so sick when we were born, no one would ever think we could survive. The shelter and the vet took so good care of us like no one would ever do.
Because of them we are here today to play around....
Look at us now! 🐈
Thanks to @poezenpootjes_geetbets and their vet, our mom other brothers & sisters could all be adopted!
If you have the chance to donate at a shelter, please do!
Sylvester the other (healthy) cat in our family was also adopted from the shelter. .
If you want to be virtual friends with us and see how we are living with this disability, follow this page and learn more about ataxia. This page is to create awareness for CH
