I call this animal meets animal. So much going on here and why not?
I fell down a twitter rabbit hole last night (I don't usually use it and for this reason alone) where people had shared images of my house found on Pinterest and asked what other people thought about them. Cue a range of opinions from the good, the bad to the downright ugly. Now sensitive Sally over her got all upset 🙋🏼♀️ How dare people say these frankly, rude things about my own home, rooms I have put blood, sweat and broken fingernails in to and am so freaking proud of?! I read every comment and as I read, I realised I have two choices; to be angry that these people who don't know me are making fun of my beloved home and reply to each with a 'HEY THIS IS MY HOUSE, YOU'RE RUDE'! Or... happy that people the other side of the world are discussing my bathroom because there IS actually something to discuss, whether it's to their taste or not, it's no longer the floor to ceiling beige box it once was where the most interesting feature was, at a push, the toilet roll holder. Aaaanyways, what I'm saying is that creating spaces YOU love, however devisive can only be a good thing. If it makes you happy, DO IT! Now, choosing to share them with the world on Instagram so people can freely discuss them? 😏 well, yes please because I love to see them and finally to my friends on twitter, as I'm so often telling my pupils, 'if you haven't got anything nice to say, don't say anything at all' 💕 #bekind
These delightful prints have been kindly sent to me by @maisieviolet_rees who is hoping to have them on her website soon!
