A year ago yesterday that I picked up Meowzers.
She was never supposed to be a long term foster, she was supposed to be a quick URI recovery for a week or two and then off to adoption. But sometimes, life just has a different plan for you ♥️
Meowzers spent 3.5 months with me. She had 3.5 months of pure love, so many snuggles, specially made presents from her best friend @yarnbalm and so much attention from everyone who met her. What started out as a URI, turned out to be so much more. She had a large mass in her mouth, and battled continual kidney and liver issues, as well as infections of an unknown source. She was a fighter, and I fought for her and alongside her until I was positive we had no other options.
I am forever thankful for the Rescue Coordinator at OCAS for working with me as hard as she did, for the amazing team at Tailz Rescue Ranch for letting me try to many things during her time with me, and for everyone here who supported our journey.
We don’t win every battle we go up against, but I know that Meowzers crosses that bridge so very very loved. So while I admit I shed more than a few tears looking at these pictures today, I am so grateful for the time I had with her. She was returned to me, and I know in my heart that she spends her time looking over the other fosters that come through this home ♥️ 🌈 #ForeverMyGirl
