Temps where I love are going to dip below freezing tonight. This is a reminder that any outdoor cat you feed IS YOUR CAT and they trust you to keep them safe. If you can, bring any outdoor pets in tonight. This is my outdoor cat Fang. He's very fluffy. But his fluff is not enough to keep him warm and protected from below freezing winds! When he sleeps inside he prefers one of the kitchen chairs and will sleep here all night.
If you can't bring your cat in, here's what you can do:
--For Tonight: Put a nice soft blanket in a box and put that on the porch. Put some food in or near the box and the cat will find it. The box will protect them from the wind and the blanket will be a nice soft bed --For the Next Cold Night: Google "feral cat house" and learn how to build one on your porch for future cold nights. --THIS GOES FOR DOGS TOO. If you have an outdoor dog, make are their house has all the stuff is needs to have or of course, even better, bring inside.
