Today is vet day, we are a day late this week due to Dr. Sabshin being out of town. It’s a big one with a LOT of regular spay/neuters, felv/fiv tests, microchips, the usual vetting to get ready for adoption. Plus some specialty stuff for eyes, bloodwork, xrays, cultures, feeding tubes...you name it. I expect a large bill.
Jack is getting a feeding tube placed today. He is unfortunately still not eating even with an appetite stimulant and anti nausea meds. Syringe feeding him is difficult due to the URI and his risk of aspiration is high. He fights me and getting the appropriate amount of food into him is difficult for both parties involved. It was decided a feeding tube was our best option. He’s also having repeat chest X-rays, bloodwork, and his sutures removed from his toe amputation two weeks ago. And anything else Dr Sabshin decides to do while he’s there.
Please send some prayers for jack as he will be going under anesthesia for the feeding tube which makes me nervous but dr Sabshin is quick and very good.
Right now we are in dire need of help with our funds for vet bills. We have had a lot of big surgeries lately and still have a lot coming up along with the regular vetting, spay neuters, shots, meds, etc along with the specialty vet visits. Even just $1 will add up if everyonewho sees our post donated.
Thank you to all our supporters and donors, we couldn’t do this without your help! Link to donate is in our bio
