It makes me sad that pictures and video of kittens will get a few thousand likes and a hundred+ comments, and a photo of Jax or Honey gets MAYBE a thousand likes and MAYBE a dozen comments. The adults are just as cute and deserving of a forever home as the tiny kittens are... Sure, Honey and Jax and Eleanor are all safe and warm and loved here - but this isn't their forever home. They all deserve a home to call their own.
I'm just so sad that none of my adults have applications, yet people are blowing up my DMs asking if they can apply for one of the Bear kittens or Fudge and "reserve" them (the answer is no). People ask ME why the adults aren't adopted yet... why don't you tell me? I'm doing my part - I'm saving them from life on the streets and making sure they are healthy and spayed/neutered, vaccinated, FiV/FeLv tested -- and all you have to do is open your heart and your home and be showered with love.
Clearly I'm feeling sad and frustrated today, please understand this isn't directed towards anyone personally. I just see how amazing these babies are and feel so bad that they have no interest 😔 Maybe next time you're ready to adopt a new furry family member you'll remember this and look at those cats and dogs who are older or who have been looking for their forever home for a while, and give them a chance.
