Update on Wobbling Cat from last nights facebook video. Julie, while releasing this weeks TNR cats, noticed that one of the cats we TNR the week before was not walking properly. We discussed and decided we needed to recapture him and get him checked out at the vet. A busy apartment complex is no place for a cat that cant get away from cars fast. Julie tried for two house to re trap this kitty but he was too smart. I met her a little later and we set the drop trap. 3 hours, 1 can of mackerel, 5 of the wrong cats and trip to KFC later. We finally got him.
He was check out by Dr. Jordan with an assist from @oliviasloth @stephaniet12 today. See next post for videos. He has limited use on his left rear side. Xrays were taken and nothing is broken. But Dr Jordan believed he may have been clipped by a car. He has been given a dose of steroids to help with inflammation. Hopefully he will regain full use of his rear leg. He is being held by Kudzu for recovery and treatment. Turns out he is not that old, grown plates are not fused. He was very good for treatment. Keeping our paws crossed for a good outcome. If he does not recover full use, he can not be released safely. Stay tuned for updates.
