This is a feral cat. No really. I’m not kidding.
After a loooong extremely HOT day in the saddle, I finally found a perfect spot to camp in the middle of a stretch of forest next to the ocean. Needing a few minutes to cool down, mentally and physically, I rolled out the tarp and laid down to look up at the stars that were appearing in the sky. There was a rustle in the bushes, made by something that I knew was larger than a mouse, and I was frankly a little freaked out until this guy appeared and made his way towards me. He was keen for attention and before I knew it, had made himself comfortable on my chest. I named him Stu. We hung out for a while. I cooled down. He went back into the forest once I began setting up the tent, almost like “ok, my work here is done”. But he reappeared in the morning and walked me to the beach. And then sat there staring as I packed up the bike. I’ve fed / adopted many a stray dog while moto-camping, but never a cat. Has anyone else had an experience like this? #wildcamping with #cats 🤣
